2023: An FCS Football Central Second Team All-America and Stats Perform FCS Third Team All-America selection… A First Team All-UAC selection, he played in all 12 games and made 10 starts at running back… Split carries with CJ Evans Jr. in the first two games of the season, carrying the ball 12 times for 44 yards, before Evans Jr. suffered a season-ending injury in Week 3… Rushed 11 times for 48 yards and a touchdown and posted a career-high two receptions for 24 yards against ETSU (Sept. 16)… Carried the ball 26 times for a career-high 197 yards with a 24-yard touchdown against Stephen F. Austin (Sept. 23)... Rushed 23 times for 158 yards and a career-best two touchdowns, including a 40-yard touchdown carry, at Lindenwood (Sept. 30)… Rushed 25 times for 108 yards – his third-straight game with 100-plus rushing yards – and a touchdown against Gardner-Webb (Oct. 14)… Had 16 carries for 92 yards, including 23-yard and four-yard touchdown runs at Southern Utah (Oct. 21)… Carried the ball 30 times for 160 yards and had two receptions for 17 yards with an 11-yard touchdown catch – his first career receiving touchdown – against North Alabama (Oct. 28)… Rushed 25 times for 120 yards at Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 4)… Totaled a career-high 38 carries for 192 yards while topping the 1,000-yard rushing mark in a season for the 10th time in program history against Utah Tech (Nov. 11)… His 38 carries against Utah Tech are the third-most in a single-game in APSU history and were tied for the highest single-game total in the FCS in 2023… Also earned TSWA Offensive Player of the Week (Nov. 14) for his performance against Utah Tech… Tallied 23 carries for 70 yards and a seven-yard touchdown run against Central Arkansas (Nov. 18)… Rushed 23 times for 184 yards and two touchdowns in the FCS Playoffs First Round against Chattanooga (Nov. 25)… His career-long 57-yard touchdown run against Chattanooga was the longest carry by a Gov in 2023… Jackson’s 184 rushing yards against Chattanooga were the most by a Gov in the FCS Playoffs in program history… Finished the season with 252 carries for 1,373 yards and 10 touchdowns in addition to 11 receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown… Posted the third-best single-season rushing total in program history and the first 1,000-yard rushing season by a Governor since 2011… Also recorded the third-most carries and the fourth-most rushing yards per game (114.4) in a season in APSU history… Finished tied for the eighth-most rushing touchdowns in a season in program history… Ranked second in the FCS in carries, fifth in rushing yards, and sixth in rushing yards per game – led the UAC in all three categories… Also ranked 28th in the FCS and second in the UAC in rushing touchdowns… Ranked 34th in the FCS and fourth in the UAC with 5.45 yards per carry… Ranked 31st in the FCS and third in the UAC with 11 total touchdowns – tied for the 10th-best season total in program history… Ranked 13th in the FCS, second in the UAC, and led the Govs with 1,451 all-purpose yards – the ninth-best single-season total in program history… Also ranked 18th in the FCS, third in the UAC, and second on the team with 120.9 all-purpose yards per game… Posted 100-plus rushing yards in three-straight games twice during the 2023 season and was the first Gov with three-consecutive 100-yard rushing games since 2011… At the end of his time at Austin Peay, ranked 10th in rushing yards (1,980), 10th in rushing touchdowns (15), and fifth in rushing yards per game (73.3).
2022: Played in all 11 games and made one start at running back… Carried the ball a career-high 24 times and rushed for a career-best 167 yards and a touchdown against Presbyterian (Sept. 3)… Had 12 carries for 85 yards against Mississippi Valley State (Sept. 10)… Posted 13 carries for 51 yards and 11 carries for 37 yards in back-to-back games Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 24) and Central Arkansas (Oct. 1)… Rushed five times for 55 yards and a touchdown against North Alabama (Nov. 5)… Carried the ball 10 times for 79 yards and a career-best two touchdowns against Kennesaw State (Nov. 12)… Ranked 10th in the ASUN and led all freshmen in the conference with 572 rushing yards and 52.0 rushing yards per game… Led the Govs, ranked fifth in the ASUN, and led all freshmen in the conference with 6.0 yards per carry… Rushed for four touchdowns, which was tied for 13th in the ASUN and led all freshmen in the conference.
2021: Played in four games… Had season’s best outing in collegiate debut against Morehead State (Sept. 18) with 35 rushing yards on five carries and a touchdown.
High School: An all-purpose back for Jeremy Perkins at Austin High School… Played running back, wide receiver, quarterback, linebacker and kick returner for the Black Bears… Rushed for 1,166 yards and 16 touchdowns on 172 carries as a senior and added 193 receiving yards… Also returned two kickoffs for touchdowns on just 13 kick returns… Named a 2020 Alabama Class 7A All-State honoree by the Alabama Sports Writers Association… Ranked a 3-star recruit by 247Sports.com.
