Biography
2016-17: The latest in a long line of talented sprinters, she began to come into her own before injury knocked her off-stride during outdoor season… opened the indoor campaign with a sixth-place finish at the Vanderbilt Opener (57.54)… posted a personal-best 25.95 mark in the 200m dash at the MTSU Invitational, finishing seventh… season’s best finish (fourth) came via 59.32 400m run at the OSU Tune-Up… just missed qualifying for the finals in the 400m dash at the OVC Indoor Championships, placing ninth overall (58.79)… also picked up a win as part of the 1600m relay team at the MTSU Invitational (4:06.05), eventually earning bronze at the OVC Indoor Championships with a 3:54.22 mark…competed in the Gamecock Quad, finishing seventh in the 400m dash (1:00.90) before missing the remainder of the outdoor campaign.
2015-16: Talented sprinter assimilated gracefully to expanded role in relays… posted a personal-best indoor mark in her 400m season debut at the Vanderbilt Opener, placing eighth with a 57.43 mark, while also running a leg of the fourth-place 1600m relay (3:52.17)… her return trip to Nashville merited a personal-best 200m mark (25.97) at the Music City Challenge… narrowly missed qualifying for the 400m dash finals at the OVC Indoor Championships with a 57.96 mark, finishing ninth… posted back-to-back top-eight finishes in the 400m dash during outdoor season at the APSU Invitational (58.92, sixth) and Missouri State Invitational (56.70, fourth)… qualified for the finals in the 400m dash at the OVC Outdoor Championships with a personal-best 56.05 mark; finished sixth in the finals with a 56.63 time… became a prominent fixture in the 4x400m relay during outdoor season, helping the Govs earn runner-up marks at the APSU Invitational (3:49.04) and Missouri State Invitational (3:46.99) before helping the Govs earn their first OVC gold medal in the event since 2000 by running the third leg of the championship-winning 3:40.27 run.
2014-15: Young sprinter stepped up when called upon… posted a pair of top-10s in her first indoor weekend, at the Music City Invitational (10th, personal-best 26.45 in the 200m dash) and the MT Christmas Invitational (10th, 1:01.12 in the 400m dash)… helped APSU to a runner-up finish in the 1600m relay at the SIU Invitational (3:54.09)… posted a runner-up finish in the 400m (58.37) at the APSU Invitational during outdoor season… had a personal-best 58.11 in the 400m dash at the Memphis Invitational, finishing seventh… a help for APSU in the relays during outdoor season as well, running a leg in Austin Peay’s 4x400m victory at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold (3:51.85) and the runner-up 4x100m outing at the APSU Invitational (47.69).
Prior to Austin Peay: Competed in the 400m for Christina Feldman at Central High School in Memphis… topped out at 57.2 in the 400m during her prep career… finished sixth in the 100m (12.34) and third in the 400m (57.20) in the 2014 TSSAA State Championships.
Personal: Daughter of Alex and Toni Scott… has three siblings: Danyelle Kimbell, Taylor Scott and Alex Scott… born Dec. 16… plans to major in Health and Human Performance.
