Biography
2021-22: Primarily in the field, competed in seven meets during the indoor season and six meets during the outdoor campaign … registered 15 individual top-ten finishes … began the indoor season with a second-place finish in both the shot put and weight throw at the Ed Temple Invitational … finished fifth at the OVC Indoor Championships in the weight throw with a career-best mark of 17.03 meters … during the outdoor season, earned the victory in the discus throw with a mark of 41.53 meters at the OVC Trio Meet … registered a career-best mark of 12.96 meters in the shot put at the OVC Outdoor Championships to finish fourth.
2020-21: Took huge strides forward in her junior campaign… opened season with a seventh-place, 11.81-meter shot put at the Bill Cornell Invite… placed third in the discus (40.78 meters) at the Margaret Simmons Invitational and posted a career-best 43.02 meter hammer throw—sixth-best in program history—to place eighth in that event… posted top-10 finishes in the shot put (12.36 meters, ninth) and discus (37.45 meters, 10th) at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold… added points to Austin Peay’s final tally with seventh-place finishes in the shot put (12.63 meters) and discus (personal-best 42.53 meters) at the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships… discus throw at the conference meet is the seventh-best in program history, and her hammer throw at the OVC Championships of 42.76 meters also ranks 10th all-time.
2019-20: Continued to accrue experience in her quest to become one of the best in the league alongside Kori McDaniel… personal-best 14.45m in the weight throw to open the season at the Saluki Fast Start… took sixth in the shot put (11.67m) and seventh in the weight throw (14.01m) at the Ed Temple Classic… earned seventh in the shot put at the Samford Indoor Clash with an 11.81m toss… personal-best 12.75m shot put at the Thundering Herd Invitational netted her runner-up honors; also took sixth in the weight throw (13.82m)… competed in the shot put and the weight throw for the Govs at the 2020 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships.
2018-19: Part of a renaissance in the Austin Peay throwing program who made strides throughout the season… entered Christmas break with a pair of sixth-place finishes in the shot put (11.94m) and weight throw (12.72m) at the Saluki Fast Start… returned with equal fervor at the Ed Temple Classic, taking third in the shot (11.86m) and sixth in the weight (13.42m)… season-best 14.32m weight throw at the Fred Wilt Open… over in the outdoor slate, hit a personal-best 38.20m in the discus at the Hilltopper Relays… third in the shot put (11.80m), fourth in the discus (36.41m) and sixth in the hammer throw (personal-best 42.87m) at the APSU Invitational.
Prior to Austin Peay: Multi-sport athlete at St. Vincent de Paul High. Received 2nd team all state in volleyball her freshman and junior year. First team honorable mention in discus her senior year and also second team honorable mention in shot put.
Personal: Daughter of Darren and Susan Verseman… has two siblings, Kaitie and Sophie… born April 26… majoring in early education.
