2023: A Second Team All-UAC and PFF FCS All-America selection, he played in all 12 games and made 11 starts at cornerback… Recorded a season-best seven tackles – with five solo stops – to go along with a forced fumble and pass breakup at Tennessee (Sept. 9)… Had four tackles and two interceptions – including a 20-yard pick-six – at Stephen F. Austin (Sept. 23)… His 20-yard pick-six came with 14 seconds left in the third quarter and the next came two plays from scrimmage later with three seconds left in the quarter, setting up a game-tying touchdown drive for the Govs’ offense to start the fourth quarter… Earned APSU’s first United Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 25) for his performance at SFA… Had five tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss against North Alabama (Oct. 28)… Recorded a tackle and two pass breakups at Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 4)… Had six tackles – all solo stops – and a tackle for loss aginst Utah Tech (Nov. 11)… Had four tackles, a pass breakup, and an interception with an eight-yard return against Central Arkansas (Nov. 18)… Recorded two tackles and a blocked field goal in the FCS Playoffs First Round against Chattanooga (Nov. 25)… Was one of 58 players in the FCS to record a multi-interception game, but was one of just eight players with a multiple-interception game that included a pick-six… Led the Governors and ranked second in the UAC with three interceptions… Also was one of just five players in the UAC with a pick-six… Finished tied for fifth in the UAC with 10 total passes defended and tied for 14th with seven pass breakups… Finished the season with 35 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and a blocked field goal.
2022: Played in eight games and made four starts at cornerback for the Govs… Made a tackle in the season opener against Western Kentucky (Aug. 27)… Recorded a tackle and his first collegiate pass breakup against Presbyterian (Sept. 3)… Had a tackle and two more pass breakups against Mississippi Valley State (Sept. 10)… Posted career-highs of nine tackles. 3.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, and two pass breakups against Alabama A&M (Sept. 17)… His 3.0 TFLs against AAMU went for a loss of 17 yards with 11 of those coming on his first collegiate sack… Made his first-career start and tallied four tackles against Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 24)… Notched three more tackles and a sack at Central Arkansas… Recorded three tackles and a pass breakup against Murray State (Oct. 15)… Made four tackles and broke up a pass against Alabama (Nov. 19), also recorded his first collegiate interception against the Crimson Tide in Bryant-Denny Stadium… Finished the season with 26 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, and an interception… Also ranked second on the team and was tied for fifth in the ASUN with seven pass breakups.
2021: Recorded a tackle in lone appearance of the season against Tennessee Tech (Nov. 20).
2020-2021: Did not see action in 2020-2021.
Prior to Austin Peay: Enrolled at Tuskegee and did not compete during the 2019 season... Transferred to Austin Peay prior to the Spring 2021 season.
High School: Played defensive back for Rueben Nelson at Ramsay High School… Finished prep career with four interceptions, 61 tackles, and 11 tackles for loss.
Personal: Cedarius Lovell Doss is the son of Betty and Cedric Doss… Birthday is Jan. 19… Has two siblings, Kamiah and Aliriyia… A health and human performance major with a sport and wellness specialist concentration.
