2023: Played in seven games and made one start at safety… Had a pair of tackles in the season opener at Southern Illinois (Sept. 2)… Recorded a career-best 10 tackles and two pass breakups at Tennessee (Sept. 9)…. Added three tackles at Stephen F. Austin (Sept. 23)… Posted three tackles – all solo stops – to go with a pass breakup and a blocked punt at Lindenwood (Sept. 30)… Finished the season with 20 tackles, four pass breakups, and a blocked punt – all career highs… Ranked fifth on the team in pass breakups.
2022: Played in all 11 games and made a pair of starts… Made his first collegiate start in the season opener at Western Kentucky (Aug. 27), notching a pair of tackles and a quarterback hurry in the contest… Picked up three tackles against Mississippi Valley State (Sept. 10)… Started at safety and made three tackles against Eastern Kentucky (Sept. 24)… Posted a career-best four tackles against Murray State (Oct. 15)… Made a pair of tackles in the season finale at Alabama (Nov. 19)… Finished the season with 16 tackles.
2021: Appeared in five games during his freshman campaign… Assisted on a tackle in collegiate debut at Ole Miss (Sept. 11)… Finished the season with three tackles.
High School: A defensive back from Colquitt County High School, played for coach Justin Rogers… Was named to the Georgia High School Association 1-7A All-Region team… Had a 70-yard interception return for a touchdown to help Colquitt County beat nationally-ranked Lowndes, 40-10, and earn the 2020 Region 1-7A championship… Competed in the 200 meters, 4x400 relay, and the high jump in track & field… A two-star recruit according to Rivals.com.
Personal: Jaheim Nytavia Ward is the son of Brandy Roberts… Birthday is Nov. 30… Has two siblings: Jay and Johnny… Brother, Jay, played defensive back at LSU before being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft and brother, Johnny, was a defensive back at South Florida… A health and human performance major with a sport and wellness specialist concentration.
