2024: Appeared in all 12 games off the bench, playing in the Governors’ secondary and on special teams… Made three tackles in the season-opener at Louisville (Aug. 31)… Had three tackles and a pass breakup against Alabama A&M (Sept. 21)… Had a tackle for loss against Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 16)… Finished the season with nine tackles, six solo stops, a tackle for loss, and a pass breakup.
2023: Played in six games at defensive back and on special teams… Had a career-best five tackles and his first career tackle for loss in the season opener at Southern Illinois (Sept. 2).
2022: Played in the first four games of the season… Made a tackle on special teams in his collegiate debut against Western Kentucky (Aug. 27)… Recorded three tackles in back-to-back games against Presbyterian (Sept. 3) and Mississippi Valley State (Sept. 10)… Finished the season with seven total tackles… Ranked second on the team with four special teams tackles with two tackles on kickoffs and two tackles on punt coverage.
High School: A defensive back for head coach Cory Moore at Lakewood High School… Finished senior season with two interceptions, nine pass breakups, two fumbles recovered, a forced fumble, and 69 tackles, helping Lakewood reach the Florida High School Athletic Association’s Class 4A state semifinal round… Recorded a pick-six as part of a four-interception junior season, which saw him play just four games.
Personal: Michael Isaiah Evans is the son of Erica Abrams… Birthday is Nov. 10… Has three siblings: Keywuan, Ashia, and Honesty… Brother, Keywuan, played football at Morgan State… A health and human performance major with a sport and wellness specialist concentration.
