2007 Cross Country: All-OVC performer...in four meets, had a one top-10, top-20, and top-40...season-best time of 17:33.97 at the Auburn Invitational was good for 20th place...finished 31st at the Old Timer’s Classic to open the season...finished 10th at the OVC Championships with a time of 18:50.87, earning a spot on the All-OVC women’s cross country second team.
2007 Outdoor: Shattered school records in the 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 meter run...won the 1,500 meter run at the South Florida Invitational with a time of 4:42.59... came up four seconds short of a school record in the 1,500-meter run at the Alabama Relays with a time of 4:39.91 for a fifth-place finish...placed third at the Vanderbilt Invitational with a time of 9:50.91... set the school record in the 5,000-meter run at the O’Reilly OVC Championships with a time of 17:42.84, for a third-place finish... broke her own school record time of 35:27.09 (set at the APSU Spring Fling) in the 10,000-meter run at the Penn Relays when she finished ninth at 35:06.72.
2007 Indoor: Participated in only two events, but set school records in both... at the McDonalds Invitational she placed second in the 3,000-meter run with a school-record time of 10:27.09... won the 5,000-meter run at the DePauw Invitational with a school-record time of 18:11.70.
2006 Cross Country: Ran unattached.
UTPA: Ran cross country and earned three top-10 finishes in her first season... was named all-region and also was a first-team All-Independant selection.
Personal: Daughter of Maria Castillo... born Sept. 26, 1984... majoring in political science.
