Austin Peay State University Athletics

2014 Cross Country: Claimed a top-five finish at the UE Cross Country Invitational (4th, 19:10.8)… earned consecutive top-10 finishes at the APSU Invitational (6th, 19:37.00) and the JSU Foothills Invitational (9th, 19:00.75)… recorded a 25^th-place finish at the OVC Championships with a time of 18:28.46

2013-14 Track and Field: Strong in middle distance for the Lady Govs… won the SIU Open during indoor season in the 800m (2:23.45)… in return to Southern Illinois at the SIU Invitational, placed third at 2:18.54… shined during outdoor season, winning Margaret Simmons Invite (2:16.81)… earned third-place honors on two occasions in Edwardsville – at the Gateway Invite (2:12.38) and again at the OVC Outdoor Championships (personal-best 2:10.73)… also runner-up at the Georgia Invitational (2:13.49).

2013 Cross Country: Transfer shored up the back half of the Lady Govs regular roster… season-best 5K mark of 19:515.60 at the Fleet Feet Sports Invitational, where she earned her season’s lone top-10 finish… broke into the top five of the Lady Govs lineup at the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic, finishing 149th overall and fifth among Lady Govs with a 20:16.57 mark… fifth runner across for Austin Peay at the OVC Championships, where she finished 57th overall with a 20:11.30 mark.

Prior to Austin Peay: Was a four-time NAIA All-American at Bethel University, earning three honors in the 4x400m relay and one in the 4x100m event… also earned conference championships in the 4x800 and 4x400 events… was 2013 Mid-South Conference Academic All-Conference… prior to Bethel, was a 4x800m state champion for Arlington High School, where she also took home state runner-up honors as part of the 4x400m team… owns Arlington’s school record in the 400m with a 57.8 mark.

Personal: Daughter of Janice James… One of six children, with three sisters (Serena, India and Megan) and two brothers (Corry and Brandon)… Serena (Tennessee) and Brandon (Illinois) also ran track collegiately… born Jan. 26… plans to major in education.
