2009-10: As a redshirt junior, played in seven tournaments, including two as an individual… posted a 83.21 stroke average with her low round of 78 coming in the season’s first event, the Murray State Drake Creek Invitational… season’s best finish (11th) came as an individual at the Stones River Shootout… throughout the season, Burns contributed six counting rounds.
2008-09: Granted a redshirt after enduring a health-related issue that allowed her to participate in only one tournament...at the Chris Banister Gamecock Classic, Burns placed 50th with a three-round 253 (87-84-82) total...during the summer, Burns was runner-up in the first flight of the Tennessee Women's State Amateur tournament.
2007-08: As a sophomore, Burns competed in eight of the 10 tournaments, with nine of her 18 rounds counting for the Lady Govs...her season-best finish came at the Lady Herd Fall Classic where she shot a three-round 261 (86-90-85) to finish 29th...her best three-round total came at the OVC Championship where she finished with a three-round 252 (89-83-80)...her season’s lowest rounds (80) came in the Great Smokies Women’s Collegiate and the OVC Championship.
2006-07: Improved thoughout her freshman campaign... competed in 11 tournaments, with 18 of her 24 rounds counting for the team... Burns best fall finish came at the Troy Women’s Invitational as she fired a career-low 75 in the first round before, shooting a second-round 77 respectivly, for her first top-20 finish... struggled early in the spring after suffering a injury that forced her to withdraw from the USA Lady Jaguar Invitational... in her first tournament back, the Savannah native fired three consecitive rounds of 81 to finish t-46th at the Samford Intercollegiate... rounded out the season with her best spring performance at the O’Reilly OVC Championship at Ledbetter, Ky... despite battling rain and wind, Burns fired rounds of 81-78-83 for a three-day total of 242, for 15th-place.
High School: Was ranked the 10th-best senior among Tennessee prep golfers, by to the National Junior Golf Scoreboard and 275th nationally... her final round 74 help lead Hardin County to the regional championships... finished 24th at the 2006 TSSAA championship... twice most valuable player at Hardin County and named team captain her senior year... had an exceptional Summer 2005, placing among the top-five in six USJGA tournaments... won titles in McKenzie, Murfreesboro and Smyrna, where she recorded her first two holes in one in shooting a 73... in Summer 2006, Burns competed in seven events, taking home top-medalist honors at the Tennessee Golf Trail, Farms Golf Club and the Bear Trace at Ross Creek and Chickasaw... Burns also finished second at the Tennessee Golf Trail and third at the Cherokee Valley Golf Club... had a summer scoring average of 79.8.
