Biography

2009-10: As a junior, played in 10 tournaments and was Lady Govs top finisher in eight… named OVC Player of the Year… was named to her third straight OVC all-tournament team… had five top-10 finishes and two tournament wins… captured Medalist Honors at the 2010 OVC Golf Championships… became the second Lady Govs golfer to win the individual title and first since 2001…. Harris shot 71-74-35=180, marking a five-shot verdict for the tournament’s largest margin of victory since 2007… her 36-hole 145 is the fourth-best total all-time... also was the third-straight year for Harris to finish in the top five at the OVC Championships… first tournament win was the NewWave Communications Classic, where she shot 76-79=155 to lead the Lady Govs to a second-place finish… at the Stones River Shootout, Harris finished third with a 78… at the Troy Women’s Invitational, she also finished third and recorded her season’s first sub-par round, shooting 78-70=148… her final-round 70 is the fourth-best 18-hole total all-time...she twice shot a 54-hole 229; the first coming at the Murray State Drake Creek Invitational and the second at the EKU Lady Colonel Classic… her 54-hole 229 is seventh-best all-time...led the Lady Govs with a 77.15 stroke average.

2008-09: As a sophomore, Harris was named first-team All-OVC...finished fifth at OVC Championship and earned OVC All-Tournament team...Firing a 69 first-round and 144 36-hole total at the Great Smokies Intercollegiate ranks Harris second in Lady Govs golf program history for the individual 18- and 36-hole records…for the 54-hole records, she ranks seventh in the program’s history for her 230 total at the Eat-A-Peach Intercollegiate and 11th with her 232 total from the EKU Spring Invitational…had seven top-10 finishes, including a second-place finish at the Eat-A-Peach Collegiate with a three-round 230 (77-75-78) total...her season-best round came at the Great Smokies Women's Intercollegiate with a 69...led team with a .665 winning percentage and a 78.9 scoring average...played in all 12 tournaments...during the summer, placed second in the Illinois State Amateur Match Play tournament.

2007-08: As a freshman, Harris earned second- team All-OVC honors, and was named to the All-Tournament team ...she led the way for the Lady Govs by competing in every tournament and recorded two top-five finishes, five top-10 finishes, and seven top-20 finishes...she tied for first on the team with 22 of her 23 rounds counting for the team...her 78.96 scoring average was a team best and good enough for sixth best all-time...she also led the team with a .727 winning percentage...After struggling in the first three fall tournaments, Harris finished seventh at the rain-shortened F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate with a 77...in the final fall tournament, the Troy University Women’s Invitational, she finished with a two-round 154 (74-80) to finish t-11th... in the first spring tournament Harris recorded her season’s best finish, firing a two-round 155 to finish t-2nd...two tournaments later at the El Diablo Spring Invitational, Harris fired a three-round 236 (80-81-75) to finish tied for eighth...in the final regular season tournament, the Larry Nelson Intercollegiate, Harris posted her season’s best three-round total with a 230 (73-80-77) to finish eighth...the opening round 73 was her best round of the season...Harris rounded out her freshman campaign by leading the way for the Lady Govs at the OVC Championship firing an opening- round best 77, followed by a second-round 80, followed by a final round 77 for a three-round 234 to finish t-3rd. 

High School: A two-time Southern Illinois Player of the Year led Massac County High School to 2005 Illinois Class A State Championship, finishing fourth individually... was a three-time champion at the River and River Conference Championship and won the Class A Regional Championship... Summer of 2006, Harris competed in the 2006 Illinois Sectional Championship and the Decatur Open Championshio, winning medalist honors twice..

Personal: Business management major... born Feb. 25, 1989... daughter of Jimmy and Vashi.
