Amy McCollum, a former Radford women’s golf team member, joined the Lady Govs golf program as a part-time assistant coach in Fall 2013.
While assisting with the Lady Govs golf program, Amy is also pursuing her master’s degree in Health and Human Performance. She came to APSU after serving one season as a volunteer assistant at her alma mater.
McCollum played in 33 career tournaments for the Highlanders. The Pittsford (N.Y.) native improved her stroke average by four strokes as a senior from her average as a freshman.
As a senior she recorded a season best tournament at the Spider Invitational. She ended her senior year receiving the Women’s Golf Leadership Award at Radford.
While competing in all 21 rounds as a junior, McCollum matched her season-low scores in the Great Smokies Intercollegiate and the 2011 Big South Championships.
As a sophomore in 2009-10, McCollum competed in all nine tournaments, shooting her season low round in the Draper Valley Intercollegiate.
In her freshman season, McCollum shot her season low tournament in the Barrett Invitational.
During her time at Radford she also worked four years at Blacksburg Country Club helping run junior clinics as well as tournaments and corporate outings.
McCollum was a six-year letter winner for Joan LeRoy at Pittsford High School, being a four-time state qualifier and all-Monroe County performer. She was voted team MVP as a sophomore and was named to All-Greater Rochester team as a junior and senior.
