As a freshman in 2025-26: Competed in six tournaments and played 18 rounds… recorded a 78.33 scoring average with a low round of 73… made her collegiate debut as an individual at the Lady Red Wolves Classic, shooting 233 (77-81-75)… competed in the Battle of the Border against Murray State, teaming with Ella Arnzen in alternate-shot play before defeating Kylah Lunsford, 1 up, in singles play… competed as an individual at The Judson and shot 241 (79-83-79)… made the trip for the Jan Weaver Invitational as an individual, shooting a career-best 225 (73-79-73) to finish 18th… posted a career-low 73 in the first and third rounds at Jan Weaver… finished 51st at the ASUN Championship after shooting 240 (83-76-81).
Prior to Austin Peay: Attended Notre Dame Preparatory High School, which she led to a fourth-place finish at the 2024 AIA Division II State Championship by finishing sixth as an individual in the 78-player field... Finished as the runner-up at the 2023 AIA State Championship – tying with fellow Gov Jordin Cowing – as a junior while leading the Saints to a fifth-place finish as a team... Was named her team's MVP during the sophomore, junior, and senior seasons after earning Notre Dame's Rookie of the Year as a freshman.
Personal: Makenna Laurette Cox is the daughter of Brandon and Michelle Cox... one brother, Jameson... born August 7.
