2024: A Second Team All-UAC selection after becoming the fifth player in program history to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards in a single season… Appeared in all 12 games and made 11 starts at wide receiver… Opened the season with three receptions in each of the first three games… Had 30 receiving yards in the season opener against Louisville (Aug. 31)… Had 77 receiving yards and his first of nine touchdowns on a 43-yard score against Southern Illinois (Sept. 7)… Had 52 receiving yards and caught a touchdown, while tallying his first-career rushing touchdown on a 36-yard carry at Central Arkansas (Sept. 14)… Caught four passes for 56 yards against Alabama A&M (Sept. 21)… Had three receptions in back-to-back games, with 56 and 80 yards at West Georgia (Oct. 5) and Utah Tech (Oct. 19), respectively… Had one of the best stretches by a wide receiver in Austin Peay history over the next four games, averaging 166.0 receiving yards and 1.5 touchdowns per game… Began the stretch with his first-career 100-yard game with five catches for 113 yards against Tarleton State (Oct. 26)… Posted one of the best receiving performances in program history against North Alabama (Nov. 2) with 12 catches for 241 yards and three touchdowns to earn his first UAC Offensive Player of the Week honors... His 12 receptions and 241 receiving yards against UNA are the second-best single-game marks in APSU history, trailing only Harold "Red" Roberts' 20-reception, 252-yard game against Murray State in 1969... Additionally, the 241 receiving yards and 12 receptions were the fourth and 16th-best single-game totals in the FCS in 2024, respectively... His three touchdown receptions against the Lions also are tied for the fifth-best single-game performance in program history and are the most by a Gov since Drae McCray caught four touchdowns against Tennessee Tech in 2021... Caught six passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns a week later against Abilene Christian (Nov. 9)… Made eight grabs for 131 yards and a touchdown against Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 16), with one carry for 14 yards… Caught six passes for 57 yards and a touchdown in the season finale against Chattanooga (Nov. 23)… Finished the season with 58 receptions for 1,083 yards and nine touchdowns... Recorded the third-most receiving yards and sixth-most receiving touchdowns in a season in APSU history... Ranked 14th in the FCS and third in the UAC in receiving yards, while his 90.3 receiving yards per game ranked 11th nationally and second in the conference... Finished 22nd in the FCS and third in the UAC in receiving touchdowns... Ranked second on the team, fifth in the UAC, and 54th in the FCS in receptions, also ranked 53rd in the FCS and sixth in the UAC with 4.8 receptions per game... Additionally, his 18.67 yards per reception were 13th in the FCS and third in the UAC.

2023: Played in 11 games as a wide receiver and kick returner… Returned a pair of kicks for 24 yards in his collegiate debut at Southern Illinois (Sept. 2)… Had three catches for 28 yards – his first collegiate receptions – at Tennessee (Sept. 9)… Posted a season-best seven catches for 121 yards with a season-long 84-yard reception – the second-longest catch by a Gov in 2023 – against ETSU (Sept. 16)… Also had an 11-yard kick return and a season-long 26-yard punt return against ETSU… Recorded two receptions, including a 33-yard touchdown – his first collegiate TD – against Gardner-Webb (Oct. 14)… Rushed once for three yards and returned a kick 40 yards at Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 4)… Totaled four receptions for 22 yards, three kick returns for 76 yards, and two punt returns for 26 yards against Central Arkansas (Nov. 18)… Returned two kicks for a season-best 83 yards with a season-long 70-yard return in the FCS Playoffs First Round against Chattanooga (Nov. 25)… Finished the season with 17 receptions for 204 yards and a touchdown, 11 kick returns for 267 yards, and three punt returns for 52 yards… Ranked fourth in the UAC with 319 combined kick return yards.

High School: A wide receiver for head coach Daniel Williams at Langston Hughes High School… Helped Langston Hughes claim the 2022 GHSAA Class 6A State Championship… Caught eight passes for 152 yards and a touchdown in the state championship game against Gainesville… Named to GPB All-Finals Team… Finished season with 44 receptions for 1,179 yards and 15 touchdowns… Named to Recruit Georgia’s Class 6A All-State Team… Also competed on the track and field team… Member of Langston Hughes Class 6A State Champion 4x200-meter relay team and silver medal 4x100 team… During the 2022 outdoor season ran a 10.92 in the 100-meter dash and a 22.46 in the 200-meter dash.

Personal: Jaden Acah Clifton Barnes is the son of Jerry Barnes and Renah Scott… Birthday is Sept. 5… Has three siblings: Jaire, Jerry Jr., and Huntington Cainion… A health and human performance major with a sport and wellness specialist concentration.
