Career Recap: Austin Peay

As a sophomore in 2021-22:

Spring Season

• Defeated Oakland City’s Gustavo Maranogoni in straight sets, Feb. 12.

Fall Season

• Won one singles and four doubles matches in four fall tournaments.
• Defeated Brescia’s Joao Pontes 6-3, 6-1 to claim first-career singles victory.
• Went 3-0 in doubles matches at the APSU Hidden Duel, including a pair of wins alongside freshman Lachlan Laner. 
• Paired with freshman Hogan Stoker to defeat Chattanooga’s Bo Nash and Quinten Nevenhoven, 6-2, at the UTC – Steve Baras Invitational.

As a freshman in 2020-21:

Spring Season

• Won a pair of matches while playing in the No. 5 singles position.
• Knocked off Eastern Illinois’ Juan Carlos Garrido in straight-sets in the final home match of the season.  
• Picked up a pair of No. 3 doubles victories in OVC play, partnering with Christian Edison for the first and Thiago Nogueira for the second.
