Career Recap: Austin Peay

As a freshman in 2022-23:

• Went 17-4 in singles play, while playing all but one match on the No. 2 court. 
• Began her collegiate career by winning four of her first five matches.
• Then won nine-straight matches from Feb. 23-March 26, with all but one coming in straight-set decisions. 
• Went 15-6 in doubles play while exclusively playing alongside Jana Leder from the No. 1 position. 
• After dropping their first match together of the season, Hefti and Leder rallied to win seven of their next eight matches, Jan. 26-March 4, surrendering more than three games only once in that span. 
• Won five of her first six doubles matches of ASUN play.

Prior to Austin Peay
The first known player in program history hailing from Switzerland… A two-time Swiss Doubles Champion under head coach Tobias Klein… Appeared in the 2017 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival in Gyor, Hungary. Finished her prep career with a 9.30 Universal Tennis Ranking and reached a carer-high International Tennis Federation Junior Ranking of 269, Feb. 2020.

Melody Hefti is the daughter of Jacques and Irene Hefti… Has three siblings, Anaïs, Jordan and Tizian… Birthday is September 22… Chemistry major with a concentration in biochemistry.
