Austin Peay State University Athletics

Cody Schultz joins the Governors coaching staff as a graduate assistant after his time at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Schultz’s playing career spanned from 2019 to 2023. In that time, he finished his career at MSU Denver with numerous accolades to his name. This included All-American honors from NCBWA, ABCA, and D2CCA in his final season, where he matched the program record 81 runs scored, which was tied for seventh in Division II.

Schultz played for the German National Team in 2022 and participated in the World Baseball Classic Qualifier and U23 World Cup. In 2023, he was a member of the German National Team, where he won the 2023 European Championships. He was also a National Gold Glove winner that same year.

In his role at Austin Peay, Schultz assists with infield play, offensive strategies, infield positioning, and on-campus recruiting.
