Governors picked to finish third in PFL South

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Austin Peay State University has been predicted to finish third in the Pioneer Football
League South in a vote of conference coaches.
The Governors garnered 20 points in a league-wide vote. APSU did receive one first-place vote. Meanwhile,
defending champ Morehead State was voted first with 12 points, including five first-place votes. Jacksonville was
second at 14 points, including three first-place votes. Behind APSU was Davidson, who had 28 points.
On the North side, defending PFL champ Drake (13 points) barely edged out Dayton (15). San Diego was third
with 18 points while Valparaiso and Butler tied for fourth with 32 points.
Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own teams.
Drake ended the 2004 season as the No. 2 ranked Sports Network I-AA Mid-Major team. The Bulldogs enter the
2005 ranked No. 1 in the same poll.
