CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.– Junior wide receiver DeAngelo Wilson, of the Austin Peay State University football team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

Wilson’s opening night performance against North Carolina Central was one to remember. The Bowling Green, Kentucky native caught six passes for 106 yards and three touchdowns—all in the first half—to pace the Govs to a 41-10 blowout win at Fortera Stadium. Wilson became the fourth Govs since 2016 to haul in three touchdown receptions in a single game after just seven players did so in the previous 78 years.

The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Wednesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included:

• Senior libero Ginny Gerig Busse, of the volleyball team, earned Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors, in addition to a spot on the all-tournament team at the Wolfpack Invitational, after posting 46 digs and no reception errors over three matches in Raleigh.
• Senior Emmaculate Kiplagat, of the women’s cross country team, returned from a year off due to injury to post Austin Peay’s top finish at the 2019 Belmont Opener, placing 22^nd with a 19:40.48 mark.
