Austin Peay State University Athletics

CLARKSVILLE – Junior outside-hitter Brooke Moore, of Austin Peay State University volleyball, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Moore posted 11 kills, a .450 attack percentage, three aces,and  three assists along with 11 digs and a clean 42 serve receptions against Tennessee State. She then continued the next day with 18 kills and a nearly errorless outing, with one error on 28 swings, along with 12 digs and a service against Belmont.

The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Athletic Communications staff each Wednesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included:

• Junior Austin Lancaster, of the Austin Peay men’s golf team, maintained a spot in the top 10 at the Pinetree Intercollegiate.
• Senior Goalkeeper Mary-Parker Powell, of the soccer team, shut out Morehead State for the first 79 minutes of Friday’s match. She then made a season-high 11 saves to help the Governors tie Murray State in two overtimes.
• Junior Claire Larose, of the soccer team, had a hand in three goals as the Govs beat Morehead State, 3-0. She assisted on goals in the 19^th and 75^th minutes. In the 52^nd minute, Larose scored one for herself, giving her four points in the match.
