CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Brandi Ferby, of the Austin Peay women's basketball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

From Smyrna, TN Brandi Ferby led Austuin Peay on Thursday against Murray State with a career-high 20 points.She dished out a pair of assists, four steals and made a career-high three-pointers to help the Govs. Against Eastern Kentucky, Ferby led the Govs with 17 points and was once again knocking down three-pointers, leading Austin Peay to a 2-0 weekend.

The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Athletic Communications staff each Wednesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included:

• Junior Bobby Head, of the Austin Peay baseball team, went 4-for-5 with three RBI and hit the game-winning home run to secure the series victory against Eastern Michigan, Sunday. Defensively, he had a hand starting four of the Govs six double plays against EMU.
• Lexi Osowski , of Austin Peay softball team, is a third baseman from San Diego, Calif. that led the Govs in hitting during the Jaguar Challenge at South Alabama. She had a batting average of .533, going 8-for-15,including three doubles.
• Eli Abaev, of Austin Peay men’s basketball team,averaged a double-double for the week. Against Murray State, Abeve posted eight points and had a pivotal moment, when he blocked a shot in the post with the Govs up just one with less than 20 seconds left to play to preserve the win.
• Junior Danielle Morris, improved to 7-1 and has had six-straight matches this spring. She posted a dominant 6-2, 6-2 but didn't stop there. She then posted another 6-3, 6-2 win against No. 1 Carson-Newman
