"Selection Sunday Hoopla" set for Governors and Lady Govs basketball teams

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.--A parade through downtown Clarksville Sunday and a tournament pairings party at
Dave Aaron Arena are a part of "Selection Sunday Hoopla" for Austin Peay State University men and women's
basketball teams.
The Lady Govs and Governors, respective Ohio Valley Conference tourney champions, will find out Sunday
where they will head for NCAA Tournament play.
But before they do, both the Clarksville and APSU communities will get an opportunity to fete those
champion athletes.
The 2:30 p.m. parade will begin at Legend's Bank and will continue on First Street and turn left onto
Franklin Street. It will tour Franklin Street and turn left onto University Avenue, and then turn left onto College
Street, before taking a right on Drane Street, reaching its final destination at the Dunn Center. Contests also will
be featured as part of the parade, including a "Best Decorated Business" contest.
The pairings party at Dave Aaron Arena, open to the general public, will begin 3:30 p.m. Big-screen
televisions will be provided, airing the 4 p.m., women's selection show as well as the 5 p.m., men's selection
show. Madison Street Wal-Mart also will provide snacks.
