WKAG-TV to televise six doubleheaders, three other APSU basketball contests

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ? WKAG-TV, of Hopkinsville, is planning to telecast 15 home games during the upcoming
2005-06 Austin Peay basketball season.
In fact, TV-43, also Charter cable channel 3, will telecast six Ohio Valley Conference doubleheaders plus three
other Governors single games, December-February. The television schedule will begin during December's second
weekend when the Governors play host to Morehead State (Thursday, Dec., 8) and defending tournament
champions Eastern Kentucky (Saturday, Dec. 10). On both dates, the women's games start at 5:15 p.m. followed by
the men's contests at 7:30 p.m.
Also, in Dedember, WKAG will televise Governors' 7 p.m., Dec. 21, game with Evansville.
Two January dates will see APSU's doubleheader with Eastern Illinois (Jan. 7) and a single men's game with
Tennessee Tech (Jan. 16) being telecast.
The schedule will heat up in February with three more doubleheaders?Murray State (Feb. 2), Tennessee State
(Feb. 4) and Samford (Feb. 11) all being televised. The Murray State twinbill is the only games scheduled to be on a
tape-delayed basis.
WKAG also is planning on telecasting the Governors' Feb. 18 Bracket Buster game, if it is not picked up by one
of the ESPN networks.
Johnny Kane will provide the play-by-play for the broadcasts with Seth Leavitt handling the color.
