CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ? Freshman Ashley Beck posted a goal in each of her first collegiate Ohio Valley Conference games,
earning Austin Peay State University Athlete of the Week.
Friday, against Murray State, Beck scored in the eighth minute of play, bringing the score to 2-0. The Lady Govs won for the
first time on their home field, with a final 3-1 score.
On Saturday, the Lady Govs were down 1-0, and with 19 seconds remaining in the match, Beck broke away, beating a UT-
Martin defender and then the keeper, to force the game into overtime. Austin Peay went on to win the game, 2-1, in double
overtime. The 2-0 conference start is the best in the program's four-year history.
For the week, Beck recorded two goals and eight shots, five of them on goal.
