Coach Loos Quotes:
“We have a lot of inexperienced guys and I thought that really showed tonight. We are going to have to be patience and bring these guys along; it's just going to take some time. I guess the thing that I'm really concerned about is the way that some of our veterans played tonight. We have to be so much more disciplined on the defensive end. We are taking shot fakes, leaving our feet, not boxing out, we don't have any help side defensive. We have lots of defensive problems that we have to work on.”
“He (Wes Channels) made some nice plays. I thought he passed up some shots that I wish he would have taken. He took two that I wish he hadn't. He has to decipher what's good and what's bad. To be quite honest I don't think that we can afford to have Wes playing average. I thought tonight was a kind of average game for him. We need him to play better than average and he knows that. We are going to be putting a lot on his shoulders. Right now if we played somebody that could really score, I don't know who we would have to stop them. We don't have anybody right now that is good enough defensively and I hope we will."
“I thought the problem in the first half was that we just weren't playing with enough energy. We weren't playing hard enough. We tell them that playing hard means that you have to make the other team play at a very uncomfortable pace. I'd have to tip my hat to their team. I really didn't think that we had them playing that uncomfortable. We just let them settle in and let them do their thing, we just can't do that.”
