CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ? Austin Peay State University women's tennis team lost at in-state rival Belmont, 7-0, last Saturday, in Nashville.
The Lady Govs played a close doubles point, losing the top two matches by only two games each.
Laura Gonzalez and
Michelle Liew lost 9-7 at No. 2 doubles, while
Morgan Klieber and
Mariana Pagan fell 8-5 at No. 1 doubles.
Belmont continued its strong play in the singles competiton where it completed the sweep.
Michelle Liew lost at No. 2 singles in a three-set tiebreaker ? the closest any Lady Govs player came to a win.
The Lady Govs return to action with a Monday home match against Cumberland.
