CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ? Austin Peay State University women's tennis dropped it's seventh straight match, losing to Ohio Valley Conference foe Southeast Missouri, Saturday, 5-2.
The Lady Govs took both its points in singles action, before losing 2-of-3 matches in doubles competition.
The Lady Govs showed some promise early, when freshman Michelle Liew, defeated the Redhawks Drew Kristal in No. 2 singles action 7-5, 6-0. In No.3 singles, Austin Peay's Morgan Klieber dropped a tough match to SEMO's Julia Masotti, in three-sets, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2. Freshman Mary Beth Lefler picked up the Lady Govs final point, defeating Taylor Orahood, in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
Lefler continued her momentum with the help of fellow freshman Alexander Pyle, defeating Orahood and Elise Nattier and 8-4, in No. 3 doubles action.
