CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ? Freshman guard Chloe Elam has been dismissed from the Austin Peay State University women's basketball team, effective immediately, announced head coach Carrie Daniels, Thursday.

Elam, who did not play in 2007-08 due to clearinghouse and health issues, was dismissed due to violations of athletics department policies and team rules.

“I am disappointed that we have to dismiss Chloe,” said Daniels. “However, our student-athletes are expected to meet certain expectations and when they don't, we unfortunately have to make difficult decisions.”
