CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ? Austin Peay State University women's tennis team came out flat and lost 5-2 to Cumberland, Wednesday, at the Austin Peay Indoor Tennis Center. The Lady Govs remain undefeated, falling to 0-5 overall.

Austin Peay fell just short on the doubles side as Mariana Pagan and Yuki Nakamura lost in a tiebreaker at No. 1 doubles. After playing to an 8-8 tie, the breaker went in favor of Cumberland (7-4) and turned out to be the deciding match for the doubles point. Michelle Liew and Demitria Georgakopoulos picked up an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles ? their season's second win at the position.

The tough doubles competition bled over into singles as Pagan lost at No. 1 singles to Natasha Yakimovich ? who is ranked 14th nationally in NAIA. Liew remained undefeated at No. 2 singles winning (6-0, 6-2) over Bea Mompo-Rebaque to round out the Lady Govs wins. Brittany Hays played the next closest match at No. 5 singles, losing to Kerinn Meisenbach.
