RICHMOND, Ky. ? Austin Peay men's tennis team saw its season end on the road with a pair of Ohio Valley Conference losses at Morehead State, 6-1, and at Eastern Kentucky, 5-2, Friday and Saturday.

At Morehead State (9-6, 4-4 OVC), the men's match was moved inside due to heavy thunderstorms. Austin Peay picked up only one match during the doubles competition as Lucas De Brito and Leonardo Locatelli won over Jason Wolfson and Dusan Milovanovic at No. 1. On the singles side, Bret Shaw earned Austin Peay's only win, at No. 5, over Chris Shafik in straight sets. Renan Bezerra, meanwhile, lost in tiebreaker at No. 3.

The Govs fell behind early at Eastern Kentucky (17-8, 8-0 OVC), losing two doubles matches to give the Colonels momentum heading into the singles competition. Austin Peay picked up wins at No. 1 and No. 2 and Locatelli and De Brito managed a pair of straight-set wins. At No. 3, Bezerra lost his second straight match in a tiebreaker. The Colonels went on to claim the OVC's regular-season championship and improve to a perfect 8-0 in OVC play.

Austin Peay senior Lucas De Brito finished his season with a 9-8 overall record and a 3-5 OVC mark, all played at No. 2 singles. De Brito teamed with Locatelli at No. 1 doubles for a 4-3 league clip to go along with a 9-7 overall mark.
