CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ? Austin Peay State University women's tennis team lost 6-1 at Murray State, Wednesday, in Ohio Valley Conference tennis action. The Lady Govs fall to 2-14 overall with a 1-5 league clip, while the Racers improved to 10-7 with a 4-3 conference record.

With so much weighing on the doubles competition, Murray State breezed through the bottom two matches to win the point. Lady Govs tandem of Mariana Pagan and Yuki Nakamura kept it interesting at No. 1 doubles, but lost 8-7 to Angela McGahaee and Anne Pennington.

The Lady Govs managed only one win in singles as Michelle Liew won in a tiebreaker at No. 2 over McGahee. Liew lost the opening set, but battled to win 7-6 in set two and 10-7 in the tiebreaker. Pagan, however, did not have similar luck at No. 1. She dropped the opener courtesy a tiebreaker and won the second set with ease, 6-1, before falling in the match tiebreaker.
