CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Get in the Red Zone,
Saturday, when the Ohio Valley Conference's biggest rivalry comes to Austin
Peay State University. Fans wearing red will be able to purchase a $1 ticket at
the gate when the Govs and Lady Govs host Murray State with the women's tip at
2 p.m. and the men's tip at 5 p.m.
Presented by Wendy's, the Govs-Racers rivalry
has long been the league's most intense matchup, which is why the game will be
broadcast on ESPN2. In fact, the rivalry was featured in ESPN The Magazine's February
2009 issue.
The first 1,000 fans prior to the men's game
also will receive a red and white pom-pom courtesy of the Governors Club.
Following the game, join the Austin Peay contingent for "Overtime at Edwards"
on 107 Franklin Street in historic downtown Clarksville for free appetizers
while supplies last.
Do your part to help "Stable the Racers,"
Saturday, Jan. 9. Lady Govs tipoff is set for 2 p.m., while the Govs follow at
5 p.m.
