COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Austin Peay men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 Ohio Valley Conference loss, Friday, at Tennessee Tech.

Austin Peay falls to 2-3 overall, while the loss is also its second straight in league play for an 0-2 OVC mark. Tennessee Tech improves to 4-3 with a 2-0 league clip.

The Govs played it close in doubles, with two matches going to a tiebreaker. Unfortunately, Austin Peay was only able to pull the win out in one. Freshman tandem Sean Bailey and Henrique Norbiato won, 9-8 (8-6), at No. 1 doubles. Sophomore Renan Bezerra and freshman Amar Subasic lost at No. 2 doubles in a 7-2 tiebreaker.

Senior Leonardo Locatelli won the only singles match for the Govs in straight sets at No. 3. Bailey, meanwhile, lost in a tiebreaker at NO. 1 singles.

The Govs return to action with a 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, match at Lipscomb.
