APSU vs. Utah Valley post-game notes

  • The Govs have now lost five straight games and own a 1-6 record in December.
  • Opponents now have shot 50 percent or better against APSU in four of the last five games and are shooting 49.4 percent in those five games.
  • APSU has allowed 80 or more points in three straight games.
  • Utah Valley's 27 assists were the most against the Govs since Memphis had 33 against APSU, Nov. 27, 2007.
  • APSU's seven turnovers against Utah Valley were a season low.
  • For the third time this season the Governors had a pair of 20-point scorers when Travis Betran had 27 and Anthony Campbell had 22.
  • Betran's 27 points matched a career high set earlier this season at Memphis. It was Betran's fourth 20-point performance.
  • Betran, who was ranked 11th in three-point shooting entering the game at 48.5 percent, was 6-of-10 from three-point range against Utah Valley.
  • Campbell now has scored 20 or more points three consecutive games.
  • Walk-on Jeremy Purvis started his third straight game at point guard.
  • Utah Valley out-rebounded the Governors, 32-22, making it the fifth straight contest the Govs have lost the board battle.
  • APSU had a season-low one blocked shot against Utah Valley.
