Postgame notes following Austin Peay's 31-27 Homecoming loss to Tennessee State, Saturday:

• This was Austin Peay's 70th Homecoming Game and with the loss, the Governors fall to 28-41-1 all-time in those contests.
• The Governors have lost their last six Homecoming Games.
• Austin Peay is now 6-11 all-time versus Tennessee State, including dropping the last three meetings.
• The Governors losing streak is now three.
• After not attempting a field goal in the first nine games of the season, Dakota Vincil recorded two field goals on as many tries, connecting from 30 yards out on the final play of the first half and on a 22-yard kick with 1:33 left in the third quarter.
• The 104 yards passing by Trey Taylor is just the third time his season a Govs quarterback has thrown for over 100 yards in a game this season.
• The 14 tackles (11 solo, 3 assists) recorded by Antonio Turner is a single-game high this season for the Governors.
• Antonio Turner and Adam Noble finished the game with double-figures in tackles, marking the second time this season the Governors have turned the feat (Turner and Damien Whitfield vs. Eastern Kentucky).
• The two rushing touchdowns versus Tennessee State by Austin Peay is a team season high.
• The 27 points scored by Austin Peay were a season high.
• Austin Peay recorded a season high 20 first downs.
• Tennessee State quarterback Michael German's 30 completions, 46 attempts and 395 passing yards were season highs against the Govs.
• The four touchdowns passing by Tennessee State marks the third time this season the Govs defense has given up four scores threw the air (Illinois State, Mercer).
• The four punts by the Govs were a season low.
• With the four punts versus the Tigers, Governors punter Ben Campbell now has 83 punt attempts this season – the second straight second his has surpassed the 80 punts in a season.
• Austin Peay recorded a team high 68 tackles (34 solo, 34 assists) versus the Tigers.
• The 22 points given up by Austin Peay in the fourth quarter marks the fifth time this season the Govs defense has given up at least 22 points in a quarter to an opponent.
• The 22 fourth-quarter points are the most given up in the final quarter to an opponent this season.
• The 10 second-quarter points scored by the Govs against Tennessee State is only the second time Austin Peay has scored in double figures in a quarter versus an opponent this season (Murray State, 13 points in third quarter).
• The 17-3 lead by Austin Peay marked only the second time this season the Govs held a lead at intermission (Murray State).
