Lady Govs look to rebound against Middle Tennessee

CLARKSVILLE – After a difficult season-opening loss to Chattanooga, Austin Peay State University women's tennis team returns to the court looking for its season's first victory when it takes on Middle Tennessee, 3 p.m., Friday, at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Complex in Murfreesboro.

The Lady Govs look to rebound from a season-opening7-0 loss to Chattanooga in Monday's season-opener.  No Austin Peay player was able to force a third set and only sophomore Isabela Jovanovic was able to win four games in any set.

The Lady Govs last faced the Blue Raiders in a 6-1 loss on Feb. 20, 2013.  Seniors Ornella Di Salvo and Vanessa Tavares each picked up a victory in doubles matches in the home match.

Austin Peay will close out its season-opening road trip with a 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 30, road match at Evansville before returning home to take on East Tennessee at noon, Sunday, Feb. 1.
