Lady Govs travel to Evansville, host East Tennessee

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University women's tennis team returns to action when it travels to Evansville for a 7 p.m., Friday match before kicking off its home slate with a noon, Sunday match at the Austin Peay Tennis Center against East Tennessee.

The Lady Govs enter this weekend with a 0-2 record and have dropped identical 0-7 decisions to Chattanooga and Middle Tennessee.

The Friday match will serve as the season opener for Evansville, which recorded an 8-13 record in 2014. The Purple Aces are led by senior Marketa Trousilova, who finished 13-6 last season at No. 1 singles.

ETSU enters the weekend with a record of 2-0, with victories against Appalachian State (5-2) and Radford (7-0). The Bucs are led by junior Lyn Yee Choo, who earned a 14-4 record last spring on her way to earning All-Atlantic Sun First Team honors.

After hosting the Bucs, the Govs will return to action against Western Kentucky 4 p.m., Saturday Feb. 7, at the Austin Peay Tennis Center.
