MURRAY, Ky. – Austin Peay State University women's tennis team is still in search of its first Ohio Valley Conference win of the season after dropping a 7-0 decision to Murray State, Tuesday, at Purcell Courts.

With the loss the Lady Govs fall to 2-11 overall, with a 0-3 mark in the OVC. Murray State improves to 7-2 overall, with a 2-0 OVC record.

The Lady Govs captured their only match of the day at No. 1 doubles as the senior pairing of Ornella di Salvo and Vanessa Tavares claimed an 8-5 victory against the team of Andrea Eskauriatza and Erin Patton. Unfortunately the Racers clinched the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

In singles play, the Lady Govs were led by Di Salvo, who battled back to force a third set against Eskauriatza before losing in three sets 6-1, 3-6, 10-4 at the No. 1 slot. In other singles matches, freshman Brittney Covington dropped a 6-3, 7-5 decision to Megan Blue at No. 4 while sophomore Hannah Tatlock lost a 6-3, 6-1 match to Eleonore Tchakarova at the No. 2 position.

The Lady Govs return to action with a 10:30 a.m., Friday OVC road contest against Eastern Illinois at Darling Courts.
