CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University men's tennis team continues Ohio Valley Conference competition when it travels to Eastern Illinois in a 10:30 a.m., Friday contest before visiting SIU Edwardsville for a 10 a.m., Saturday match.

The Govs enter the weekend with a 6-4 record, and started OVC play off on the right note with a 6-1 victory over Murray State on Tuesday.

Eastern Illinois (2-9, 1-0 OVC) enters the weekend having won their first OVC match against Tennessee State last Friday.  The Panthers are led by juniors Robert Skolik and Ryan Henderson who hold down the No. 1 and 2 positions in singles play.

SIU Edwardsville (6-6, 1-1 OVC) opened conference play last Sunday, splitting a pair of matches with Belmont and Tennessee State. The Cougars are led by senior Nicholas Vincent and junior Jacob Perkins.  Vincent has earned a 6-6 record at the No. 1 singles position while Perkins has recorded a 9-2 record in singles play this season.

After playing the Panthers and Cougars, the Govs will return home to face off with Morehead State in a 2 p.m., March 27 contest at the Governors Tennis Courts.
