CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University women's tennis team will close out its visit to the state of Georgia when it visits The College of Coastal Georgia for a 1 p.m., Tuesday match at the Marta Torey Tennis Complex.
The Lady Govs enter the match with a 1-8 record, and suffered a loss to Kennesaw State, Saturday to open up the trip. Senior Jovana Karac went 2-0 against the Owls, earning a win at No. 6 singles in addition to teaming with sophomore Hannah Tatlock to emerge victorious at No. 2 doubles.
Coastal Georgia is off to a 3-2 start to the season. The Mariners are led by freshman Freja Rasmussen and sophomore Daniella Caruso. The talented underclassmen occupy the top two positions in the starting lineup. Â
After playing the Mariners, the Lady Govs will return home to open the Ohio Valley Conference season with a Friday, 2 p.m. match against UT Martin at the Austin Peay Tennis Center.
