A ROTATION OF KNOWLEDGE

  • CARRYING IT FORWARD. Austin Peay returns home after sweeping through last weekend's Bulldog Invitational. It is the Govs first 4-match win streak since September 2014.
  • GABLE GOVERNS. Sophomore Cecily Gable is the reigning adidas® OVC Offensive Player of the Week after earning Tournament MVP honors at The Citadel.  She had 64 kills (3.56 per set) during the week.
  • STUCKER SETS THE STAGE. Sophomore Kristen Stucker nabbed adidas® OVC Setter of the Week. She marshaled the Govs to a .256 team attack percentage while averaging 11.11 assists per set during the week.
  • TENS FOR TEETER. Junior Kaitlyn Teeter posted double-digit kills in all five APSU matches last week, averaging 3.72 kills per set. That effort earned her adidas® OVC Newcomer of the Week – the first by any Govs player in conference history.
  • BLOCK BIG AGAIN. For the 2nd-straight weekend the Govs block was a big factory, averaging 2.54 blocks per set at The Citadel tourney. Sophomore Kaylee Taff led the effort with 15 blocks (1.25 per set).
  • Spreading the love around. The Govs are the OVC's 3rd-ranked offense (11.83 kills per set), but do not have a player ranked among the league's Top 10 in kills.
  • WHERE ARE ALL THE KILLS? Junior Ashley Slay sits just outside the Top 10 with a Govs best 2.88 kills per set. She is 1 of 4 Govs hitters with more than 2.00 kills per set through 4 weeks.
