CHAMPAIGN, Ill.– In a low scoring affair, Austin Peay State University women's basketball team dropped a defensive battle, 59-47, to Illinois, Saturday.

Catching up with coach Midlick
Defensive Effort: "I thought throughout the entire game that we had good effort defensively, we had lapses, but I you can't fault the effort of our ladies on that end of the floor."
Strong Competition: "We get a lot from playing this kind of competition. You are going to pay for little mistakes and you have to be really precise in your offense. One thing we will have to work on coming out of this game is running our offense harder, more precise, and take care of the basketball."
