CHARLESTON, Ill. – The Austin Peay State University men's tennis team took a 5-2 win on the road at Eastern Illinois Saturday afternoon.

APSU took the doubles point behind a 6-4 win from Aleh Drobysh and Almantas Ozelis at No. 1 and a 6-4 win from Alex Kartsonis and Chad Woodham at No. 3.

The Govs went on to get wins from Ozelis, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 1, Kartsonis, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 3 and James Mitchell, 3-6, 6-4, 10-6 at No. 6 en route to the win. However, it was Manuel Montenegro with his win at No.2, 6-4, 6-4, that clinched the match.

APSU will return to action at home against Eastern Kentucky for senior on Friday, April 14 at 2 p.m.
