KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Austin Peay State University men's tennis team could not overcome Tennessee, losing 4-0, Sunday, at the Goodfriend Tennis Center.
The Vols (13-4) quickly took two doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead going into singles action. The Govs (1-10) fell at No. 2, No. 4, and No. 6 singles, with the Vols winning all in straight-sets to clinch the match. The other matches went unfinished, but Almantas Ozelis was leading 1-0 in the second set after dropping a close first set at No. 1 singles.
The Govs return to action at home, 12 p.m., Tuesday against IUPUI.
