CLARKSVILLE – The final homestand of the 2019 Austin Peay State University baseball season promises plenty of excitement – on and off the field – as part of the Governors Pack the Park week-long promotion on Joe Maynard Field at Raymond C. Hand Park.
The Governors baseball team will seek to win the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference regular-season title in a winner-take-all series against Jacksonville State, Thursday-Saturday. Fans will be able to take advantage of special ticket offers and in-facility entertainment throughout the homestand while supporting the Governors on the field.
The Austin Peay athletics department is offering discounted ticket prices for all four games of the homestand. Fans arriving at the gate for Tuesday's nonconference contest against Western Kentucky may purchase $2 general admission tickets. Then for the Jacksonville State series, fans can visit LetsGoPeay.com/BuyTickets to purchase $3 general admission tickets in advance.
In addition, the Governors youngest fans (12 and under) can take advantage of free general admission when they wear their little league uniforms to the game. Plenty of in-facility entertainment and food options geared for children also will be available during the weekend.
Prior to Friday night's contest, Austin Peay will recognize the contributions of Joe and Cathi Maynard during a ceremony prior to the Friday, May 17 contest against Jacksonville State. The university will name the playing surface at Raymond C. Hand Park as Joe Maynard Field in recognition of the Maynard family's significant contributions to the on-going improvements at the baseball facilities.

Following Friday's contest, Fuse Fireworks will present a fireworks extravaganza that cannot be missed. The largest postgame fireworks display in the OVC will be held at Raymond C. Hand Park.
