BRENTWOOD – Only one Ohio Valley Conference women's basketball game will be aired on the ESPN Family of Networks this season, and that game will feature the Austin Peay State University women's basketball team.

For the first time in the David Midlick era, the Governors will play a regular season game on the ESPN Family of Networks. The Governors 4 p.m. Jan. 9 contest at Tennessee Tech will be aired on ESPNU.  The game is one of the seven regular season and three postseason OVC matchups that will be on the ESPN Family of Networks, and is the only women's game on the schedule.

Last season the Governors went on the road to Cookeville and knocked off the Golden Eagles, 72-65. Brianah Ferby led the way in last season's matchup, putting up a 20 spot off the bench. The all-time series between the Govs and Golden Eagles is tied at 15 wins apiece, with the Govs taking the last two regular season matchups. The nationally televised Jan. 9 matchup will tilt the all-time series in favor of the winner.

The entirety of the OVC Women's Basketball Tournament will be aired on either ESPN3 or ESPN+. The tournament begins on March 4, and will be held at The Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana for the third consecutive year, a partnership recently extended through 2023.

For the second year in a row, all Austin Peay home and Ohio Valley Conference contests will be broadcast on ESPN+, the first-ever multi-sport, direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service from The Walt Disney Company's Direct-to-Consumer and International division in partnership with ESPN. It offers fans thousands of additional live events, on-demand content and original programming not available on ESPN's linear TV or digital networks. ESPN+ is an integrated part of the completely redesigned ESPN App. Already the leading sports app, the new ESPN App is the premier all-in-one digital sports platform for fans across mobile and tv-connected devices. Fans can subscribe to ESPN+ through the ESPN App for just $4.99 a month (or $49.99 per year).

Games aired on an ESPN network will also be available through the ESPN App, accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
