With the abbreviated fall football schedule in the books and basketball season still a month away, we here at Austin Peay State University have been taking a look back at each of our photographer's favorite photos from the past 365 or so days. With no photographers left in the batting order, we decided to once again turn to the man who has taken more photos of the Govs than everyone else on staff here at Austin Peay combined.
So in this special-edition finale of Through the Lens, we take a look back at Robert Smith's all-time favorite Austin Peay photos from his 50 years behind the lens in Clarksville!

This is "The Block" from the 2003 season. It was a single frame shot, as I was shooting with flashes at Bridgestone Arena. Austin Peay's Josh Lewis blocked Murray State's Cuthbert Victor's last-second shot to send the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament semifinal game into overtime. The Govs would go on to win the game in the overtime, 59-56.

I love the expressions on the faces of the Austin Peay players as they celebrated their second-straight OVC Championship after defeating Eastern Illinois in 2010.
