CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University's men's tennis team captured five wins during its final action of the fall at the UTC Fall Tournament, Friday-Sunday, at the UTC Tennis Center.

Giovanni Becchis advanced to the Flight B Singles Final in his matchups. Becchis defeated Lipscomb's Juan Sebastian Dominguez Collado, 7-5, 6-4 in the opening roung of the flight, before then besting Chattanooga's Santiago Arredondo, 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the final round of the flight. Becchis dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision in his final singles match to UTC's Jakub Jupa.

Tom Bolton advanced past the first round in Flight D after defeating UTC's Peyton Gatti Peyton, 6-4, 6-1, but dropped an extended, three-set decision in the second round to Samofrod's Will Gray, 5-7, 6-3, 11-9.

After advancing past the first round due to a win by default, Javier Tortajada fell Carlos Salas Tulla, 6-3, 6-4.

Becchis and Bolton then won a pair of doubles matches to conclude the Govs' trip to UTC, winning 7-6 (4) in the opening round against UTC's Kristof Kincses and Jaxon Lamb, and Lipscomb's Krzystof  Wetoszka and Matheus Lima, 7-6 (8).
