McGowan Adds Five on National Signing Day

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University head soccer coach Kim McGowan announced the signing of six incoming freshman for the 2024-25 academic year.

"This class was very intentional," said McGowan. "We aren't losing that many players to graduation, but knew we needed impact players to continue our trajectory of success. So far, each year we continue to get better, and I expect nothing less than that with adding our new 2024 Govs!"

Lindsey Arnold | Defender | Elkins High School

Lindsey Arnold joins the Govs' defensive line after prepping at Elkins High School where the center back tallied 28 goals and nine assists throughout her high school career. The three-year captain also is a two-time all-conference selection, earning first team honors during her sophomore season after helping lead EHS to a 14-8-1 record. She then led the Knights t a 16-4-5 mark, including 11-2-3 mark in district play, including the program's first-ever Bi-District Championship title.

Arnold also has been a three-year captain for her club, Albio Hurricanes FC ECNL/RL where she led the program to the ECNL Regional League Texas Championship qualifiers this past season.

McGowan on Arnold… "Lindsey is a big presence in the air and in the backline, we are happy to have her join the Govs. She owns the air inside the box offensively and defensively which will be a great compliment to our current players. Her ability to distribute out of the back will also be a skill we lean in with her."

Kiley Reese | Midfield | Little Miami High School

A midfielder hailing from Maineville, Ohio and Little Miami High School where she was a three-time All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference selection, including a First Team recipient her junior and senior season.

Additionally, she plays for Ohio Elite Soccer Academy under Doug Bracken and Kristen Burkey.

McGowan on Reese… "Bringing some spice to our midfield, Kiley has the ability to go box to box, create scoring opportunities, and put in hard tackles. Reese's attacking touch to move pass defenders sets her up for success in the middle channel, and we think she will play well in our system of play."

Paige Chrustowski | Forward | St. Francis College Prep

Paige Chrustowski comes to Clarksville from Winfield, Illinois and played high school soccer at St. Francis College Prep and was a First Team All-Metro Suburban Blue selection her freshman-junior seasons.

Chrustowski is a five-year ECNL player where she scored 20-career goals between the Eclipse Select and Rockford Raptors. Her teams qualified for the ECNL National playoffs three-straight years in 2021-23.

McGowan on Chrutowski… "Adding more fire power to our attacking unit, Paige will fit right in. Her ability to finish around the goal is clinical. Not only does she finish, but her size will also cause problems for teams during set pieces and crosses into the box."

Kaylee Hansen | Metea Valley High School

An Aurora, Illinois native, Kaylee Hansen prepped at Metea Valley High School and played for the club teams Sockers FC GA and Eclipse ECNL. During her prep career, Hansen participated in the United States Soccer Training Center.

McGowan on Hansen… "Kaylee has the technical ability and speed to play multiple positions for us. Next fall we see her competing for the wingback position, which her ability to shut down 1v1 defensively will be highlighted."

Ari Allen | Goalkeeper | Kalamazoo Christian High School

A goalkeeper, Ari Allen comes to Clarksville from Kalamazoo Christian High School and played club for head coach Michele Krzisnik and the Michigan Hawks.

McGowan on Allen… "Ari is very consistent in goal. She makes all the saves she's suppose to, along with having an unbelievable work rate. Adding Ari to the goalkeeper unit with Katie and Lauryn, our defensive unit will continue to be strong."
