CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University women's basketball team looks to pick up its first Atlantic Sun Conference win of the season as it faces North Florida in a 2 p.m., Saturday game on Gary Mathews Court at F&M Bank Arena.
Austin Peay (5-7, 0-1 ASUN) tipped off the conference season against Eastern Kentucky, Thursday, Sa'Mya Wyatt had her second 20 point performance of the year, but the Govs fell 72-58 to the Colonels.
North Florida (4-10, 0-1 ASUN) dropped a 76-53 decision to Lipscomb, Thursday, in Nashville. Jazmine Spencer and Jasmynne Gibson combined for 33 points in the loss and Gibson grabbed 14 rebounds.
This will be the third meeting of the Governors and the Ospreys, as the series is tied 1-1. The last game between the two was a 52-50 UNF win on Feb. 7 in Jacksonville.
Up next, the Govs head out on their first ASUN road trip of the season as they travel to Florence, Alabama, to face North Alabama in a 6 p.m., Jan. 8 game at CB&S Bank Arena at Flowers Hall.
