Spring Schedule Announced for Women's Tennis

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Peay State University head women's tennis coach Maria Sorbello Morrison announced the Governors' 20-match spring schedule with the Atlantic Sun Conference, Thursday. 

"I'm excited for the new season to start. New Season, new goals, and accomplishments! The girls have been working hard on and off the court, and are focused on going after an ASUN championship!" 

The Governors' spring slate features three home matches, four neutral-site matches, and 13 matches on the road – including the ASUN contests. 

The Governors begin the spring season in January at Presbyterian on the 18th, Furman on the 19th, Jacksonville State on the 24th, and Southern Indiana on the 30th. In February, the Governors face Murray State on the 1st, Belmont on the 8th, Vanderbilt on the 13th, Appalachian State on the 21st, and Wofford on the 22nd. All matches are away or at a neutral location. 

In March, the Governors have their first spring home match against St.Louis University on the 7th. On March 12th, the Govs are back on the road again to face Jackson State. 

Bethel is coming to face The Hometown Team at home on March 17th at 2 pm. The month of March comes to a close with a road match against Florida International on the 28th, followed by another match on the 29th against North Florida – the Govs' first conference opponent of the season. 

The Governors will begin April with home matches against Western Kentucky for senior day at 1 pm. ASUN conference play will continue with matches against Lipscomb on the 7th and Bellarmine on the 10th before ending the regular season with a non-conference match at Louisville on the 11th. 

The Governors will close their 2025-2026 season with the ASUN Tournament, which takes place from Friday, April 14, to Sunday, April 18, in Fort Myers, Florida.

The host site of the 2026 ASUN Championship will be on the campus of Florida Gulf Coast at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
